It looks like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate isn’t going to be the only Monster Hunter game coming to the West in the near future.
Yoshinori Ono has revealed today that the company is aiming to release the series latest online entry, Monster Hunter Frontier G, in North America and Europe.
According to Ono, the G in the title means that the game is going to be compatible with a wide variety of platforms. This has been done because the company wants to release the game in the West and let as many gamers as possible enjoy the title.
“The reason why we have increased our support for so many hardware platforms is because we have our sights set on distributing services for this game in the future outside Japan. We simply can’t release a game as it is, but need to adapt all the necessary services to the unique characteristics of each region. In preparation for that, we’ve broadened our scope and started launching individual titles across multiple hardware platforms.”
Not much more has been said about the matter, but even this little is more than enough for all Monster Hunter fans in North America and Europe. This excellent news follows the reveal of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, which is set to be the definitive version of Monster Hunter 4. This newly enhanced version will be released in the West on the 3DS sometime during 2015.
