Editorial Policy
Our Standards
GamerSyndrome is committed to delivering honest, well-researched gaming content. Every review, news article, and guide published on this site goes through an editorial process designed to ensure accuracy and fairness. We take our responsibility to readers seriously — if we recommend something, it is because we genuinely believe it has merit.
Review Methodology
Our game reviews are based on hands-on experience. We play games extensively before forming opinions, and we evaluate them across multiple criteria including gameplay mechanics, visual presentation, audio design, narrative quality, and overall value. We do not assign review scores based on hype or publisher relationships.
When reviewing hardware or peripherals, we test products over an extended period under real-world gaming conditions. Benchmark data is always gathered using standardized testing procedures, and we disclose our testing setup in each review.
News Coverage
We strive to report gaming news accurately and promptly. When sourcing information, we prioritize official announcements, verified leaks from credible sources, and firsthand reporting. If a story is based on rumors or unconfirmed reports, we clearly label it as such.
Corrections
We are human, and occasionally errors make it into published content. When we identify or are notified of factual errors, we correct them promptly and note the correction at the end of the article. Transparency matters more than appearing infallible.
Affiliate Links and Sponsorships
Some articles on GamerSyndrome may contain affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through those links, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial judgment — a product that earns a negative review will not receive a favorable write-up regardless of commercial considerations.
Sponsored content is always clearly labeled as such. We maintain a strict separation between editorial and commercial interests.
Independence
GamerSyndrome operates independently. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage. Review copies provided by publishers and developers are acknowledged in our reviews, and receiving a free copy does not guarantee positive coverage.
