Video Game Crafts ‘N Gear #14: Majora’s Mask Wii U and 3DS, Pac-Man Lamp, Mega Man Candy Dispensers

In this week’s Video Game Crafts ‘N Gear, witness the greatest custom made console redesigns ever, keep Pac-Man at bay with a 16-colour alternating lamp and check out mock-ups of a piece of Mega Man memorabilia that Capcom needs to make happen.

Majora’s Mask Wii U and 3DS

We’ve had some amazing custom console skins featured before, but this is mind-blowing. Deviantart user Sharindan-dragon has created his very own “special edition” Wii U based on the N64 Zelda classic, Majora’s Mask. He calls it the “Moonfall Edition”. Awesome.

Not only does the purple colours match perfectly with the theme, there are beautiful markings placed around the console and controllers. That’s right; not only did he design the console, but the GamePad and the Pro controller too! Oh, and there’s a 3DS XL model too, so in a perfect world you could carry the awesome with you everywhere.

Pac-Man Lamp

ThinkGeek is back again with an impressive, officially licensed video game product. This vibrant lamp of the iconic ghost from Pac-Man alternates through 16 different colours. It is also remote-controlled, so you can pick and choose your favourite colour as well as turn it off and on without getting up!

The lights can flash, strobe and fade. Just don’t keep it lit up on purple for too long – you may just be unlucky enough to have a yellow disc-shaped gentleman eat it up.

Mega Man Candy Dispensers

There are many occasions when video game items and objects would make for brilliant, practical applications in real life. This is one of those occasions. Artist David Jones created the genius mock-ups of a Mega Man X licensed candy dispenser, similar in concept to PEZ dispensers.

The clever part is that they resemble Mega Man’s and Zero’s life meters, with Mega Man’s providing lemon flavour candy and Zero’s orange candy. I’m sure you’ll agree that this needs to be a real thing – as long as you’re okay with the fact that, with every bite, you’re essentially killing the Blue Bomber.
