Pokemon X and Y Versions Announced!

Pokemon X and Y Versions Announced!

In a special Nintendo Direct presentation titled Pokemon Direct, the next evolution in the mega popular RPG franchise was announced with Pokemon X and Y.

Coming to the Nintendo 3DS, the games will represent the 6th generation in the long running series. While it’s a no brainer that the usual addition of new areas to explore and monsters to catch are here, the biggest and most obvious change here is the full 3D visuals. Seems like someone at Game Freak was listening after years of gamers begging for Pokemon to step into the third demention. And no, spinoffs don’t count.

The best news? While gamers here in the states are used to lagging behind Japan, these titles are set for a worldwide simultaneous release in October 2013! So it won’t be too much longer until anxious gamers like myself have this in our hands.

Check out the trailer, which features the new starters and legendaries, then let us know what you think in the comments below!
