Fallout 4?

Fallout 4?

Bethesda may in the near future be announcing information regarding a new addition to the Fallout series. Voice actor Erik Todd Dellums, who played three dog, the radio host of galaxy news, released on his twitter account that he could be back to work soon. On his twitter account he said that “To all my #Fallout3 and #ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!.” He also noted on his twitter account that he was permitted to release this statement.

Nothing has yet to come from Bethesda about an upcoming Fallout game for a while now. The only indication of a new Fallout game in the works was Bethesda team members being spotted in Boston in August of 2012, the likely setting for the new game. Bethesda released Fallout 3 in 2008 and then released Fallout New Vegas in 2010. This would put Fallout 4 on track to be released in 2012. This clearly did not happen. My guess was that Skyrim took over Bethesda and Fallout was put on the back burner.

Reports have also indicated that there may be a possible Fallout movie in the works, so it is possible that Erik Todd Dellums could be hinting towards this possibility. This would be great, but overall disappointing to many who have been waiting for news of a Fallout 4 game.

However, if I was a betting man I would say that Fallout 4 will be released near the end of 2013 and be a next generation title. Next generation with a late 2013 release title seems to be the best route for the Fallout series as the game will most likely be compared and have to compete against the Last of Us, if it sticks to the PS3 and Xbox 360.

As a huge Fallout and Bethesda fan I hope that Fallout 4 news becomes clearly in the near future and that a game is not to far off. I like many, want to leave the vaults and explore the wastelands once again.
