E3: Dead Rising 3 To Be Exclusive Launch Title For Xbox One

During Microsoft’s E3 press conference today, the stage was a buzz with exclusive titles left and right. One of which, turned out to be Dead Rising 3. With Capcom’s sequel long awaited by fans and gamers alike, Dead Rising 3 looks to continue the wild insanity of open world Zombie Slaying that was set forth by the first two titles.

In the reveal trailer, new protagonist Nick Ramos must try and escape the blood thirsty zombie horde by whatever means necessary.   The gamplay trailer follows Nick, as he attempts to make it to the center of the city he is curretly trapped in, Los Perdidos.

A bunch of the trademarks of the series past were obvious in the footage: zombie melee attacks, wide variety of improvised weaponry, custom tool creation. I was excited to see that Nick seemed to have movements reminiscent of Chuck and Frank, and even moved about the environment much in the same way.

While it remains to be seen how much of the trademark humor and game play will remain intact with out the guidance of series creator, Keiji Inafune, the game play footage shown at MS E3 press conference was a lot to chew on.
