Before the console was finally launched, Nintendo promised to improve all the aspects that went around gaming with better online support, better account management and so on. However as of now the Wii U interface is having quite a few problems and no updates are in sight: it’s still an improvement over the Wii interface but things could definitely be better.

One of the things that disappointed players the most was the inability to play mutliplayer games on the same console while being logged in with two different accounts: gamers tought that the issue was mostly due to some operating system problem but it looks like it’s not the case.

Among all the titles released up until now, only one title supports this feature: Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 allows multiple accounts sign ins for all multiplayer modes, including Zombie mode. Many other games don’t: all of Nintendo’s first party titles and all the other third party titles as well.

What does this mean? It means that it’s up to the developers to add this feature in. This information actually goes hand in hand with what some developers have been saying about the console: the Wii U allows developers to create some interesting titles but if they aren’t going to implement features in their games, the console can’t do that in their place. Let’s hope developers will be able to make the best out of the Wii U features in the coming months.
