Project X Zone Coming To North America And Europe

No one probably believed it was possible, but Namco Bandai loves to exceed expectations as of late and they have finally confirmed that Project X Zone will be released outside Japan. Players have been indeed surprised by this announcement since cross over games rarely get released outside Japan and the spiritual predecessor of this game, Namco X Capcom, released on Ps2 some years ago, stayed in Japan.

Project X Zone is a strategic role playing game developed by Banpresto and Monolith. The game will feature a lot of fan favourite characters coming from Namco, Capcom and Sega’s games: we will be able to control Ryu, Dante, the Mishima family, Yuri and Estelle from Tales Of Vesperia, Megaman, Virtua Fighter characters and more. Over 200 characters will be included in the game counting playable characters, guests and enemies.

Project X Zone unites traditional TRPG gameplay formula with an interesting twist, called Cross Active Battle System: once an enemy is engaged the game will shift in a 2D Battle view where players can fight the enemy by activating skills with timed button presses. If you ever played the Valkyrie Profile games you know what I’m talking about.

Project X Zone has been released back in October in Japan and it will hit American and European shores this Summer. The game will be released exclusively on Nintendo 3DS.
