The Assassin’s Creed series is one of the most successful franchises introduce during this generation: Assassin’s Creed 3 was released only a few months ago, earning good critical praise despite some little flaws and the game was also met with excellent sales. It was almost a given that a new game in the series would be developed, but probably everyone never thought it would be getting announced so soon.
In yesterday’s investors call, Ubisoft has announced the planes for the next game in the series: unlike Assassin’s Creed 2, which also got two spinoffs with the same main character and same time period, Assassin’s Creed 3 won’t probably be getting them, aside from the Ps Vita title, Liberation.
The new Assassin’s Creed game will have a new character and a new time setting so we probably won’t be seeing more of Connor. The details end here: the game is currently being developed across several of the Ubisoft studios and it will be officially unveiled during the E3.
If the release date comes as usual during the holiday season, there’s a good chance that it may also be coming out on next gen consoles, if they indeed get launched at the end of 2013.
