We have to admit, aside from a big coverage done by Game Informer and some other details here and there, we don’t know much about Grand Theft Auto 5 and it’s definitely something strange. The game still lacks a definite release date, with Rockstar and Take Two Interactive simply stating that the game will be arriving this Spring. More than a single online retail listing has the game listed for an end of March release: however, without official confirmation, these dates are purely estimates.
While players may be getting frustrated, investors have got it tougher since all this lack of information is making them lose lots of money: the game was supposedly scheduled for a March 2012-2013 release window, which is apparently not happening. Analyst Michael Patcher says that if the investors are to be reassured, Take Two needs to announce the release date of GTA 5 as soon as possible: an investor’s call meeting is happening next week and Patcher thinks the release date for GTA 5 will be announced at the event.
As a prediction, Patcher says that the game will probably be released in May and it’s not too far from the truth, probably: many Rockstar games have been launched in May in the past like Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3. The only thing we know for sure is that something new will be said about GTA 5 next week: stay tuned for more.
