Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is definitely one of the best HD remasters released last year. The two playable titles included in the collection have received some nice improvements without receiving radical changes that altered the experience too much.
It will probably be the same for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, the second HD remaster for the series. Unlike the first one, however, this new compilation will include some extra scenes not found in the original games.
Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed to Famitsu that Re:coded is going to include a few extra scenes not found in the original DS release. At the same time, the team is recording new voice acting for the game.
According to Nomura, one of the new scenes will be a battle scene. Another one will be used to create a better connection between Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
North American and European gamers will find plenty of new contents in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, as both Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep will include extra features from the Final Mix releases. Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix included new battles against all the Organization XIII members, even those who are not present during the main game, as well as new keyblades, a new difficulty level and a special boss battle. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep also includes new weapons and commands, extra boss battles and a new ending scenario starring Master Aqua.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will launch sometime during 2014 on PlayStation 3.
