It looks like Grand Theft Auto V is going to be released on next generation consoles next year. The next generation ports of the game have been rumored for quite some time but never really got confirmed.
The news comes from an interview on Opie & Anthony’s SiriusXM program with Lazlow from Rockstar games, who has pretty much confirmed that a port is indeed in the works. He doesn’t really say the words, to be honest, but it’s pretty obvious if you read between the lines.
Grand Theft Auto V has been released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in September. The game has been a smashing success, selling a lot in all territories, even in Japan.
For the first time in the series, players are able to control three different characters during the course of the game, characters that come with some different abilities. The inclusion of the three characters has allowed Rockstar games to make an even more cinematic game, always putting players in the middle of the action.
Grand Theft Auto V also comes with the Grand Theft Auto Online mode, the engaging multiplayer portion of the game. GTA Online has also recently received a new update, adding some features and tweaking others. You can get all the details by reading our report on the matter.
Grand Theft Auto V is now available on PS3 and Xbox 360. We’ll keep you updated as soon as the next generation ports are officially confirmed by Rockstar.
