EA Will Reward SimCity Players With A Free Game

The new Sim City game has finally been released but the launch has been nothing short of a disaster: the game requires an always on connection and the servers have gone crazy with the amount of simultaneous connections. A lot of gamers haven’t been able to connect at all while others aren’t having a nice experience with the game. EA has acknowledged the server issues and offered an update on the whole situation on their Official Site.

Server situation is slowly getting better and the team is hard at work to improve the situation. The reason behind all these problems is simple: EA wasn’t expecting all these players and a few gamers have played the game in a way they didn’t expect.

Server capacity has been increased by 120% and the situation has been already improved: it’s not completely fixed but the number of gamers not being able to play and enjoy the game has dropped significantly.

To reward players for their woes with the game, Electronic Arts is going to offer a free PC game from the EA titles. Starting from March 18, gamers will receive an email telling them how to redeem the free game. EA know it not much but they were truly disappointed by the whole situation and are trying to make up for it.

A new update on the server situation will be coming early next week.
