This announcement isn’t really going to surprise anyone since it’s become customary for the Assassin’s Creed games to get some special editions some time after launch including all the Downloadable content developed for the game. This release has also been rumored for a while so there’s really nothing really surprising about the announcement of Assassin’s Creed 3: Washington Edition.
As expected, this special edition of the game will be launching for a reduced price and include all the DLCs released for the game: the ” A dangerous Secret” adds three extra missions for the single players mode and an extra Mayan ruins stage; the “Battle Tested” DLC pack expands the AC3 multiplayer experience by introduce three new characters and maps, as well as new customization options and a few trophies.
Finally the first story DLC for the game, The Tyranny Of George Washington will also be included: in this extra story, Connor will have to fight King George Washington in a different take of the American Revolution. This DLC is really interesting thanks to some extra skills and enemies included, as well for the intriguing storyline. The story of the DLC is actually considered as canon, opening up quite some storytelling possibilities for the series as a whole.
The AC3: Washington Edition will be available a month from now, on March 28 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
