Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be coming, as expected, before the end of the year on the current generation consoles and Pc. At the same time, with the next gen around the corner, there may be a chance that the latest entry of the Call Of Duty series may be getting released on the new Ps4 and on the yet to be named new Microsoft console.
Dan Amrich, the Activision Community Manager, has recently called the two next-gen consoles an “interesting problem”: he also hinted that the new Xbox console may not even be coming this year. Here’s his full comment on the next gen:
“We also have the interesting problem of new hardware coming in. We’ve got a PS4, we’ve got whatever Xbox is working on – is that going to be this year, I don’t know.”
Calling the next gen “an interesting problem” could mean that Activision is probably still considering releasing Modern Warfare 4 on the next gen. If at least one of the console becomes available before the end of year chances will probably be higher but with so many contradicting rumors, no one can say for sure right now.
The latest entry of the Call Of Duty series is Black Ops2 now, now available on all platforms: the game is getting expanded with the new Uprising DLC Map Pack, already available on Xbox 360 and soon to come on Ps3 and Pc.
