A new trailer has been posted on the “Halo Waypoint” site for the Season 1 of the Spartan Ops mode. The trailer showcases gameplay sequences and some incredibly high quality Computer Graphics segments, making it really hard to believe this can be done on current consoles.
Spartan Ops is the cooperative Mode for Halo 4, replacing Fireflight mode from Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST: it won’t be completely separate from the rest of the game since it ties into the Spartan IV program and the main campaign, taking place 6 months after the events of the main Halo 4 story; up to 4 players will be able to join in the action.
The Spartan Ops will revolve around the Majestic Squad, also present in the main game interacting with the Chief. Confirmed enemies in this mode are the Remaining Covenant and Prometheans.
The Spartan Ops campaign will be included for free in the game. Seasons will be made up of five missions long Chapters, released weekly. It is yet unkown how many seasons are going to be released and if they all will be free since 343 Industries, Halo 4 developers, has only talked about Season 1.
You can watch the new trailer here and get even more hyped as the release date of Halo 4 draws near: on November 6 Master Chief is coming back!
