Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Criterion Studios’ reboot of the 2005 game of the same name has officially been confirmed for a Nintendo Wii U release in 2013. “We are very excited to deliver Need for Speed: Most Wanted on more platforms and to more gamers,” a representative for EA told Polygon. “Starting Oct. 30, Most Wanted will be available on X360, PS3, PS Vita, Android and iOS. Then in 2013, Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the Wii U.”
The Wii U version was originally spotted in a list of pending Wii U titles for Europe, inside a recent financial statement from Nintendo. No other information has been given on this version of the game as of this moment. Need for Speed: Most Wanted is the latest game in one of the best selling video game franchises of all time. It will feature a huge, connected open world, letting you drive any car you want right from the get go. It also allows you to modify your wheels, get involved in police car chases. The game’s multiplayer mode is also very interesting, featuring absolutely no lobbies or menus. All you have to do to start playing with your friends is pick up a car and meet up with them. The autolog feature from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit also makes a comeback, allowing you to set records for your friends to beat or vice versa. A new launch trailer was also just released, which you can see below.
