In recent news it was confirmed by Polygon that Criterion’s Need for Speed: Most wanted is now in development for the Wii U, though they will not arrive until later in 2013, though no exact release date has been given at this point.
The version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted that is coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, Vita, Andriod and iOS market is due out on October 30th. What is unclear at this point is whether or not this version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted that is now in production for the forthcoming Wii U will boast the same features as it’s PS3 and XBox 360 cousins. There has been no word yet from Criterion Games, but we can most likely expect more news in the future.
The Wii U, which launches on November 18th, is Nintendo’s next gaming console and the successor to the Wii, and will undoubtedly have a lot to offer the gaming community. Whether or not we will see more games coming out in the near future being ported to the Wii U is something that we will have to wait and see.
