First Wii U commercial airs in the UK

Nintendo unveiled the Wii U’s first commercial in the United Kingdom last night. The commercial aired on Channel 4 during hit series Homeland. It is narrated by Adam Buxton, host of the Adam and Joe show. It focuses mostly on the new ways to play with the Wii U using footage from launch games like Zombie U, Mass Effect 3, Darksiders 2.

The Wii U is the first eight generation home console and allows players to control games using both the new touch screen gamepad and a standard controller. Among the system’s launch titles in the UK will be 007 Legends, Assassin’s Creed III, Batman: Arkham City – Armored Edition, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Darksiders II, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, FIFA 13, Just Dance 4, Mass Effect 3: Special Edition, New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, ZombiU and others. The console is set to release on November 30 and will be priced at £249.99 for the base model and £299.99 for the premium.
