Ubisoft wants full games on Wii U’s eShop ‘as soon as possible’

Speaking with Polygon, Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot has said that the company wants full game downloads to be available on the Nintendo Wii U as soon as possible. “It’s a good system,” he said. “As soon as it’s possible, we will do it. ” He also said that he’s hoping to improve their connection with Nintendo, “we hope to have a good connection with their systems because Nintendo has been very open to us and allowed us to use our systems to communicate with our customers.”

Another thing that was discussed was the option of selling Ubisoft game download codes in retail stores. “It’s something we are discussing with the different retailers because we think sometimes when people go to the shop they want to get information on what game to buy and also how to play it and so on,” he said. “So the retailers are really bringing something that can help them sell the right games so they have a good experience.”

Ubisoft is currently working on titles such as Rayman Legends, Assassin’s Creed 3 and ZombiU for the Wii U and have been one of the system’s biggest supporters since its inception.
