Thanks to a promotional flyer we have confirmation of The Walking Dead: The Game’s collectors edition, a special retail version of Telltale’s The Walking Dead which will most likely include all of the episodes from the game’s first season on a disc, have special packaging and will come with a 1,000 page compilation of the first 48 issues of The Walking Dead comic book by Robert Kirkman. The collector’s edition will also feature a cover by The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard. It will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for 69.99. Telltale has yet to comment.
The retail version of the game was announced earlier this year, via twitter, with the release date set for December 4th in North America. A European release date has yet to be announced.
The first episode, A New Day was released on April 24. The second, Starved for Help came out on June 27. Long Road Ahead was the name of the third one, which came out on August 28. The fourth and latest, Around Every Corner, was released on the 9th on this month with fifth and final one coming out later this year, under the title No Time Left. Each episode is priced at 400 Microsoft points on Xbox Live, 4.99 on PSN and Steam. Several of the episode were also released on the iPhone. In terms of critical acclaim, the game was a success with most of the episodes holding a 80+ at Metacritic.
The Walking Dead: The Game is coming to retail on December 4th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
