A photo from a GameStop in Ireland may have revealed a bit of news about Ubisoft’s forthcoming title, Splinter Cell: Blacklist. A photo from a display case at the Ireland GameStop shows the case of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, with a large Wii U branding, among many titles already confirmed for the Wii U including Ubisoft’s Zombi U and Activision’s Black Ops II.
IGN, who has reported this story, reached out to Ubisoft for a confirmation or comment, but only received an answer of “no comment” from the game developer. So far the only console that Ubisoft has confirmed the game will be releasing on are the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC.
Even if this is only a rumor or simply a case of mistaken advertising, more and more games seem to be flocking to the Wii U, boding well for Nintendo’s latest console release, which will happen on November 18th in North America. Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist , the sixth installment in the series, is currently slated for release in the Spring of 2013.
