If you have missed some futuristic warfare and can’t wait to get back to Crysis’ world, you’ll be happy to know that pre-orders for Crysis 3 have begun with some neat bonuses too.
Crysis 3 is a first person shooter developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts. It’s the third numbered entry in the Crysis series, five games total, which revolves around a military group using “nanosuits”, exoskeletons that give enhanced abilities to the wearers.
The nanosuits aren’t just a plot gimmick since they have consequences during gameplay: players can use the “Maximum Armor” mode to improve their defense and the “Maximum Speed” mode which obviously enhances speed; all suits have a cloaking element too that makes the wearer near invisible. To be able to use one of the three modes the suit’s energy must be full: this adds an important strategic element as players must use the suit’s abilities only when absolutely necessary. Countless customizable weapons will be available to wreak some havoc like handguns, machine guns, sniper and assault rifles. Vehicles ranging from ground vehicles to naval vessels are also available in great numbers.
Crysis 3 will be released on February 2013 on Pc, Xbox 360 and Ps3. As announced today, all preorders will come with a free digital copy of the first Crysis game. The game will be available as a standard edition and a collector’s edition featuring a predator bow and the hunter nanosuit as exclusive bonuses.
