Home Turf: new downloadable content for DC Universe Online

Sony Online Entertainment and ProSiebenSat.1 Games have revealed new details on an upcoming  DLC release for the free to play Ps3 MMORPG DC Unverse online.
The game, based on DC comics world, heroes and supervillains, has been in development since 2008 before being finally released in January 2011. The game was subscription based until November 2011 when the game  became free to play with 3 levels of player: Free, Premium (at least 5$ spent on content) and Legendary, level reserved for ongoing subscribers.
The game’s executive producer Larry Liberty said that the team tried to make this new DLC the biggest DC Universe downloadable content yet released, giving the player more options for customization for both hero and villain character types.
With ” Home Turf” all players will be able to build their own lair and customize it to their likings with many items and themes.
The lairs will also be able to be used as arenas for character versus character fights.
Four new missions are included in the dlc, alongside new important landmarks of the DC universe such as Stryker Island, Arkham Asylum and Steelworks. Each location comes with 10 new missions which will unlock a special ” Mark of Triumph”, a form of ingame currency, once fully completed.
Players won’t have to worry about their lair being assaulted by other players as developers are working on a new battle system.
Home Turf will be free for Legendary members, free and premium members will be able to buy the new content through the game’s official site
