Dead or Alive 5, Team Ninja’s Sexy fighting game will be making its way to the PlayStation Vita early next year, studio lead Yosuke Hayashi confirmed. The Vita version will be known as Dead or Alive 5 Plus, but not much specifics have been given at this time. “We plan to release Dead or Alive 5 Plus on the PlayStation Vita at an early stage of next year,” Hayashi said. “DOA5’s arrival on a new hardware will bring new players to the existing communities and for our loyal and core fans like everyone gathered today can now practice and brush up their skills anywhere they want.”
“Be assured that features which are appealing as the DOA5 Plus name reads are planned.” The announcement was made on the official IGN Pro League YouTube channel. Another thing that was revealed is that a new update will be coming to the home console version of Dead or Alive 5 next year.
Dead or Alive 5 was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September and features over 19 characters including guest stars from Sega’s Virtua Fighter and introduces many new features to the series, such as a new power attack called Power Blow which is activated when the opponent’s health drops below %50 and enables you to knock him away, possibly into a Danger Zone or over a cliff which will initiate a quick time event called Cliffhanger.
