Sine Mora now available on PC

The bullet hell genre isn’t at its strongest on the PC. That hasn’t stopped Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality, in collaboration with Kalypso Media, from porting Sine Mora, originally released on Xbox 360 earlier this year. The game is currently available on Steam and Green Man Gaming for 10% off, at $8.99.

The game features gorgeous hand-painted scenery, Hungarian voice overs and a lot of bullet dodging. A metacritic score of 83 also doesn’t hurt, with some of the reviewers describing the game as a revolution within its genre, like Destructoid’s Allistair Pinsof. “Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture have created an absolute revolution in contemporary game design that proves beautiful, original things can still be done beyond the realm of first- and third-person shooters. It’s just as brave and elegant as Journey, while being as accessible and fun as a cherished Irem classic. Even if you think this game isn’t for you based on genre, Sine Mora may unexpectedly surprise and delight you.” Another very positive review comes from Eurogamer, giving it a 9 out of 10:

“At 1200 Microsoft Points, this isn’t a particularly cheap experience, but for those devotees who will spend months, even years, forcing every last twitch and dodge into their muscle memory, it’s money well spent. Clearly not one for casual players, this is a heartfelt love letter to one of gaming’s thoroughbred genres and one that fans of the right temperament should experience without delay.”

The system requirements for the game are:

OS: x86 or x64 bit versions of Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/Win7
Processor: MD/Intel single or dual-core processor running at 2.2GHz (Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 x2 are probably the lowest CPU architectures recommended)

ATI Radeon HD 3600 and NVIDIA Geforce 8600 are minimum required graphic cards. The game also works on the latest generation of Intel HD 3000 IGPs and AMD 6500 series IGPs but other previous generation IGPs are not supported.
DirectX®: 9.0c
Hard Drive: 300 MB HD space
Sound: Integrated or dedicated DirectX 9 compatible soundcard.
