ArenaNet Teases GW2 November Content

Just as ArenaNet has closed the doors on it’s Guild Wars 2 Halloween Celebration, titled “The Shadow of the Mad King“, they have opened the door of something new. Late last night, on the game’s website, ArenaNet published a new page for ingame releases, including a teaser of this month’s big patch. We now know that the patch, which is planned for mid-November, is called “The Lost Shores“, and will take place in the Sea of Sorrows, presumably on some sort of  tropical island.

There are a number of beautiful screen shots showing of some deadly looking reptiles, lovely steam springs, and a foreboding coastline, but these pale in comparison to another bit of information presented on the site

Unravel a mystery of monstrous proportions in The Lost Shores, a massive one-time world event that will change Tyria forever!

 What this one-time world event will be is anyone’s guess at this point, but other clues have started to appear in the game. Dead whales have started appearing on the beaches of Lion’s Arch, and a number of signs, quickly translated by followers of the game on Reddit, have hinted at dangerous creatures coming on the horizon. It seems that players of Guild Wars 2 will simply have to wait and see what happens…
