Telltale has announced(via Twitter) that the final episode of their Walking Dead game adaptation will be hitting PSN on November 20 in North America and will be available in Europe and on the other platforms(Xbox Live, PC, Mac and iOS) the following day. The episode is entitled “No Time Left,” and it will wrap up the first season, but it won’t be the last you see of The Walking Dead from Telltale. A second season will be coming down the line.
“We believe there is no better company than Telltale to bring complex narrative IP to interactive entertainment,” senior vice president of marketing Steve Allison said in a statement to Polygon back in July. “Our first episodic game series based on The Walking Dead has sold nearly 1.7 million episodes to consumers in just our first 8 weeks with no signs of slowing down. We have three more episodes to go with Episode 3 targeted for August as we confirmed yesterday.
“Following the digital release of our fifth episode we will also be coming to North American retail shortly thereafter and this will not be the last The Walking Dead game series that we do.”
The series has been a success with critics too, with most episodes averaging an 80 on metacritic. A limited edition was also confirmed and it will include a 1,000 page compilation of the first 48 issues of The Walking Dead comic book by Robert Kirkman.
