Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale DLC Characters Detailed

Now that Playstation All Stars: Battle Royal has finally been released, the developers at Sony Santa Monica Studios are working on the first DLC pack for the game. Two new characters will be added into the game: Starhawk’s hero Emmett Graves and Kat from Gravity Rush.

In a recent interview Seth Killian has given more information about the two extra characters and their play styles within the game: both characters will get exclusive combos and moves based on their respective games. Even though their still early in development, Killian states how both characters will introduce new mechanics into the game: Emmett Graves will have a “Build and Battle” system, where he’ll be able to drop a lot of crazy things from the sky and greatly influence the environment he’s fighting in, something that’s directly related to the Starhawk series.

The inclusion of Kat from Gravity Rush had a lot of reasons: the developers wanted to have another female character into the roster as well as a character that could unite the Ps3 and PsVita worlds. Also, Kat is a strong character that was very well received by players so her inclusion was almost a given. Killian states that she still needs a lot of tweaking right now because she’s apparently overpowered: Kat will have a lot of fast moving abilities, together with the power to manipulate gravity and plenty of combos.

Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale was released last week on Ps3 and PsVita: the first DLC pack is yet to dated and it will be free for the first two weeks after launch.
