One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 Heading For Europe During Summer 2013

It’s a great day for One Piece fans who also like to game: One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 was just announced in Japan and Namco-Bandai already confirmed the game will be available in Europe next Summer!

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is a Dynasty Warriors spin-off, featuring the classic hack and slash gameplay coupled with the world and characters of the famous One Piece series. Just like other anime-themed Dynasty Warriors spin-off, Pirate Warriors has some uniquie features like a distinct moveset for all characters, making them all play differently, some QTE events for stages and bosses alike and some platforming segments.

Given how some important parts of the anime were missing, it was almost certain a sequel was coming soon: Pirate Warriors 2 will feature even more skills and abilities for existing players, adding more stages and characters, like Skypeia and God Enel, already shown on last week’s Shonen Jump’s issue. One of the biggest news is that the game will also be available on Psvita, together with the Ps3 version.

With a press release earlier today, Namco Bandai announced that the game will be heading to Europe during Summer 2013, without giving a specific date or any other detail. As a way to celebrate the game shipping more than 1 million units the game and the extra contents will be available for discounted prices on PSN. No news available for an American version yet or    for a PsVita version western release You can check out the official box art below.
