Ryu Hayabusa is not yet ready to take his well deserved break from the gaming world jut yet. After the release of Ninja Gaiden 3 and Razor’s Edge for the new Nintendo Wii U and his presence in Dead Or Alive 5, 2013 will see more releases starring our favourite Ninja, with the rumored Ninja Gaiden 3 Sigma, probably including Razor’s Edge content, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus heading for PsVita. We’ve known the japanese release date for Sigma 2 Plus for a while and now the western launch day has finally been unveiled.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is the Psvita version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 released on Ps3 back in 2009, featuring a lot of changes from the Vanilla version, adding a co-op mode playable over PSN, Trophy Support and a lot of in game tweakings like changes in weapons mechanics, removing the Karma scoring system from regular story mode, decreasing the number of enemies on screen at once and increasing their health. The biggest visual change was the removal of all gore in the game.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus will feature some more additions: a new game mode called Hero featuring simplified controls, a Tag Mission mode allowing players to use Ayane, Rachel and Momiji more and a new Ninja Race mode where players can increase their speed thanks to an item.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus will be released in North America on February 26 and on March 1 in Uk and Europe.
