Sony has had it rough this generation with the Ps3 versions of huge multiplatform titles having bugs and glitches and the Ps3 version of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 was no exception: connectivity and freezing during online play issues on all Ps3 and some more issues on older fat PS3 like the console freezing during gameplay forcing player to turn it off and being forced to go through the system’s restore procedure. Downloading extra texture packs worked as a temporary fix while Activision and Treyarch worked on a more reliable fix.
Now the patch is finally live, updating Black Ops 2 to the 1.03 version: there’s no details yet on the fixes with Activision just promising overall improved performance.
As the patch could have fixed some of the issues, new problems are introduced: users who didn’t experience any freezing before the update are now facing the freezing and connectivity problems.
While we wait for some more information from Activision we advise you to avoid updating if you have never experience glitches so far; if you have had them you can try downloading the update and hope for the best since in the worst case scenario nothing will change.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 was released last week on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Pc with the Wii U version available on console launch: no major problems have been reported for the other versions of the game.
