Super Smash Bros Wii U Won’t Be Ready For A While

With the Wii U release, players are waiting the new entries of the most successful Nintendo franchises. Mario fans already have received a new New Super Mario Bros game but everyone else will probably have to wait a while before being able to play their favourite games on Wii U.

This holds even more true for Super Smash Bros fan: game designer Sakurai has recently shared an update on the game’s development on Twitter, stating that development may take a while. However long the wait will be, Sakurai assures us that the wait will be definitely worth it. At the same time we will probably not hear much about the game since Sakurai doesn’t like how anything he says starts some wild speculation: if he says he’s currently playing some game, people will start thinking that someone from that game will be included in the next Super Smash Bros. Sakurai san prefers to focus on working on the game rather having to constantly shoot down rumors and such: the only thing he wants to known is that he’s going to make games wait some time for the game.

Super Smash Bros Wii U was announced during E3 2011 and not much has been revealed since then: the only thing we know for certain is that Namco-Bandai is involved in the development process. And from Sakurai’s world, it looks like we’ll have to wait quite a bit for some news of the game.
