Being around 2 months away from release, Konami is really starting to push the new entry of the Metal Gear franchise called Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Today there are both good and bad news for all fans living outside Japan: Konami has announced the release of a Rising branded Ps3 bundle, including the newest revision of the Playstation 3 console together with a copy of the game and other goodies. The bad news is that the bundle will most likely remain in Japan, just like many other special Ps3 Bundles like the Final Fantasy XIII one.
The “Zan Datsu” bundle will include the already mentioned custom-designed 250 GB Ps3 Slim, a copy of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, a custom Dual Shock 3 and download codes for a Ps3 Theme and the Cyborg Ninja skin DLC, which will be included in all preorders worldwide. No news on a possible release overseas.
Now for the good news: if you’re itching to try the game but don’t want to buy a copy of Zone Of The Enders HD collection with the Rising demo disc included, you’ll be able to play the same exact demo by downloading it off from PSN. As of now Konami has only announced a Japanese date, December 13, but it’s almost guaranteed that the demo will be available in all regions: and if it doesn’t, it’s pretty easy to just create an account for the Japanese PSN and get the demo anyway.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be available in February for both Ps3 and Xbox 360. A new gameplay video has been released, showcasing some new Raiden abilities. Being from Platinun Games, expect some really over the top, flashy combat sequences!
