There’s still not much information available for the next entry of the Grand Theft Auto series but one thing is certain: it’ going to sell. A lot.
With pre-orders already begun and an all new trailer going live next week on November 14, analysts are sure of one thing about Rockstar’s new game: no matter when released, the game is set to sell huge numbers for all formats.
EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich speculates that GTA 5 will sell over 25 million copies in a year, despite the current generation heading towards its conclusion and the speculated April release, usually not the best choice for AAA releases.
Some have judged the April release date as not as profiting as a holiday season release date, but Mr. Divnich noted that Grand Theft Auto 4 was released in April as well and the game went to sell over 20 million copies in its first year. The Grand Theft Auto brand is so big in terms of popularity that any release date would be favourable.
While hype surrounding the game increases each day, we’re still waiting for some confirmed details on the game: some rumors have surfaced days ago but they’re still unconfirmed.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to release this Spring, as confirmed by promotional pre-order artworks leaked a couple of weeks ago. Stay tuned for more!
