Disgaea Dimension 2 Debut Trailer

A couple months after the initial announcement, Nippon Ichi has finally shown the world the first trailer for their upcoming Strategy Role Playing Game Disgaea Dimension 2, the latest entry in the Disgaea series. The trailer shows some parts of the story together with some battle footage and gameplay features

Disgaea Dimension 2 was revealed through Famitsu a couple of months ago: the game was rumored to be a reboot of the series and a remake of the first Disgaea: Hours Of Darkness. Later, the game was confirmed to be a direct sequel to the first game’s plot, featuring Laharl, Etna and Flonne as the main characters: some new characters have been revealed confirming that the game would feature an all new story.

Gameplay wise the game will sport the usual Strategy RPG formula of the Disgaea series, with its own twists: some special events will be trigger when some conditions are met on the battlefield, giving a slight advantage over players. Also expect some flashy special attacks, crazy optional dungeons and a lot of grinding: series fanatics will be surely pleased. The demon assembly will also be back, together with the transmigration system, allowing characters to be reborn and start from level 1 again, retaining all skills and obtaining a stats bonus.

Disgaea Dimension 2 will be released exclusively on Playstation 3 on March 20, 2013. Check out the debut trailer below.
