Dark Souls 2 Announced For Pc, Xbox 360, Ps3

Adventures who don’t fear death, it’s time to come back into the mysterious world of Dark Souls: Dark Souls 2 has been announced for Pc, Ps3 and Xbox 360. And it looks as dark and unforgiving as its predecessors.

The game was announced during the 2012 VGA awards through a trailer: not much information was shared though. The game will still be developed by From Software, creators of the series: the team will be headed by Tomohiro Shibuya and all the development process will be supervised by series’ mastermind Hidetaka Miyazaki.

Dark Souls 2 won’t have much connections to the first game, storywise: we’re looking at an entirely new story set in a new world with all new characters. From Software also promises to completely revamp the multiplayer mode for the game, giving it a new spin: Demon and Dark Souls had a really nice take on multiplayer modes, letting players leave notes on the ground or on walls for other players to see, letting players help others in their quests for a small amount of time and even invade other players game worlds to fight them and steal their items. With the new DLC released a few months ago, the Player Versus Player Concept was expanded further by including a dedicated arena. With all this in mind, we really can expect anything this time during online play. Overall the game is going to feel like a fresh experience, without forgetting its roots, like Shibuya san stated.

No release date was given for the game. More infos will come as the game nears release date. You can check the reveal trailer below.
