Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!

The Playstation network has been up for a day now and the playstation blog and twitter now have information on the “welcome back” program.

The program is to welcome the PSN user’s back and give them something in return for their patience of the network being down.

So here is a list of what you get for this patience

For PS3 account holders, from a choice of 5 games, you get to download 2 of them;

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Infamous*
  • Wipout/HD
  • Rachet and Clank: Quest for Booty
  • Dead Nation*

And for PSP account users, same apply:

  • LittleBigPlanet PSP
  • Modnation PSP
  • Pursuit force**
  • Killzone Liberation**

Furthermore PS3 users will get a 30 subscription to PS plus and people who already subscribe will get 60 days free.

People who subscribe to the music services will also be given 30 days free subscription.

*In Germany InFamous and dead nation will be replaced with Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings for PS3 Games.

** Again for Germany Pursuit force and Killzone Liberation will be replaced with everybody’s golf 2 and Buzz Junior jungle party for PSP games. Finally Killzone will not offer online gameplay.

Now some people have been complaining about the games you get saying they are not that great, or that they have been out for some time and have been completed, but it’s a free game LittleBigPlanet could be played many of times over its just that amazing but to the point it’s free.

Also if people who haven’t had an account until after the PSN went down then you will not be eligible for these free deals and the date for the PSN going down was on the 20th of April 2011.

So Sony has given a pretty good welcoming back package and I cannot wait to take full advantage of the PS+ 30 days.
