One of the biggest complains about Project Natal/Kinect aside from the lack of hardcore games is the lag. But that’s a thing of the past, at least according to Rare’s executive producer of technology and communications, Nick Burton. In an interview with Eurogamer he said, “Lag is not an issue. As with any prototype stuff, of course it was in the past. That’s to be expected. Where we’re at now, not at all. Yes, we’ve done a lot work to make sure it wasn’t a problem, but when you’ve got something that’s copying what you’re doing you can’t have a lot of lag.”
Of course, Rare defending Microsoft technology is nothing new, since they are owned by Microsoft. But still, it’s true that Sony fanboys can be a bit melodramatic at times. Anyway, I’d like Rare to make a sequel to Kameo. Who’s with me?
