If you all remember, I previously informed you all on the new Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack coming this Spring. Well it appears that someone has been able to obtain (sort of) these new maps, along with a surprise…
It appears that one person has used his Xbox 360 to obtain, what appears to be, the Spring map pack for Modern Warfare 2, it’s not explained how the person was able to, but he has posted a video showing us all.
It appears that the map pack is already on the disc of every Modern Warfare 2 game, but in order to “unlock” the content, you will need to pay for the code, or something along the lines of that.
This is a trend that developers are starting to use more often, and has been heavily criticized.
Please Note: That I cannot confirm that Infinity Ward already have the DLC on all discs, it was simply a thought. Furthermore, I cannot confirm that this video is 100% real.

Hmm… I was hoping that some of my favorite maps from COD4 would be coming to MW2, but I’m not sure if I like maps that are supposedly coming in the classic pack… Also, if you have the data on the disk and have a consumer by an unlock code for it, that’s BS. I’m sorry but if a company, any company has data on a disk and it’s sold at retail it should be there, unlocked and ready to go. DLC should be data that you purchase and download, not unlocked. It’s a bit wrong to have consumers pay for something that should have been there. Another perfect example is this: Dragon Age Origins is a great game (albeit the 360 version that I have has some issues and bugs) but to make me pay for something that should have been included in the game (or free) so I can finally have a place to put my loot that I have collected… Is wrong and nickel and diming the consumer. I’ve had an article about this, and I have to say that I’m getting sick of having Day One DLC… WTF?! Why should I have to pay for a game, then pay for more content that they couldn’t fit on the disk or couldn’t get to work on the disk but works as DLC?
