Pokemon Black and White Sell 2.6 Million+ in Japan

It’s official: Pokemon is still amazingly awesome. At least that’s what the sales figures in Japan are pointing at. After just two days since launch, Pokemon Black and White have collectively tallied up over 2.6 million units sold. That’s impressive to say the least, and these two new Pokemon games officially beat out Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, which sold 1.4 million copies within the first two days, an impressive feat of its own.

How will Black and White, which were awarded a 40/40 score by Famitsu, fare when they make their way to North American game retailers? Let’s be realistic: Pokemon is in no danger, so it’s safe to say they’ll fly off shelves here too. (And one of those copies will be mine!)
