This Week’s Nintendo Downloads (8/23/10)

Insert smiley face here. That’s right, folks! The Virtual Console makes a return to the Wii Shop Channel. And although there’s only one retro download on tap for this week, it’s a mighty interesting one. Read on to see just what the folks over at the Big N have in store for gamers with Wii Points in their pockets.

Virtual Console

  • Ufouria: The Saga: 1 Player, Published by Sunsoft, Action-adventure, 600 Wii Points, Rated E

Platforming, collecting, cool music, and maze-like level design. Those are the main attributes of Ufouria: The Saga. This is a worthy download, and not just because it’s the only available Virtual Console game this week, but because it’s a darn good one!

WiiWare

  • And Yet It Moves: 1 Player, Published by Broken Rules, Puzzle Platformer, 1,000 Wii Points, Rated E

Like the Virtual Console, WiiWare only has one download this week, but it’s a mighty big one. The popular indie game And Yet It Moves has just made its way to WiiWare, and with it brings platforming and puzzle-solving galore.

DSiWare

  • Absolute Reversi: 1-2 Players, Published by Tasuke, Board Game, 200 DSi Points, Rated E
  • G.G. Series Ninja Karakuri Den: 1 Player, Published by Genterprise, Action, 200 DSi Points, Rated E
  • My Farm: 1-2 Players, Published by BiP Media, Farm Sim, 200 DSi Points, Rated E
  • Rytmik: 1 Player, Published by Cinemax, Music, 800 DSi Points, Rated E

DSiWare seems to be as varied as always, this week featuring board, action, farm, and music games. There’s something for everyone here, so take your pick.
