AsiaSoft has announced that they will be canceling the “I Love Monster Forest” event for Monster Forest Online. They canceled the event with the following message:
Dear Tamers,
I have a piece of sad news for all of us here. We have come to a conclusion that we need to postpone this event till further notice.
It would be inappropriate for us to continue this event any further as it would only cause distress to the participants.Kindly accept our deepest apology for this issue for we have not handled it to the best that we can.
Do bear with us as we shift our attention to fixing the bugs of the game client as well as to take some of your feedback into consideration.Thank you for your support thus far!

I, personally, wish to applaud them for focusing on crushing the bugs in their game. I have played too many MMOs where the developers chose to work on future content, instead of fixing the bugs, which in turn destroy the game (SAGA Online anyone?), Hopefully the event can be started in future when the game polished more. If the event is released in the future, it will include:

This event is very simple and everyone should be able to participate.
Event Details:
1) Create a meaningful post/ a review/ a funny article of Monster Forest in various forums such as: MMOSite.com, ONRPG.com, SGClub.com or any other forums that you are familiar with.
2) Next, you need to include www.MonsterForestSEA.com in your forum thread.
3) Thirdly, your Subject Title has to include the words “Monster Forest” (Example: Hey, check out this new game called Monster Forest. Or: Come see Monster Forest.)
4) To score additional points with us, you may post screenshots; trailers; facebook and any other things related to Monster Forest you can get your hands on.
5) Lastly and the most important step, you must post the URL of the thread you created, here in our Official Event Thread. Otherwise we will not know of the thread you created.How do you win?

Jimmy Lin of AsiaSoft describes Monster Forest Online as a game which “combines Pokemon and Harvest Moon Style of playing.”
In Monster Forest Online, players will watch their pets evolve into powerful forms as they forge closer with them and dive into the intriguing Miniland system, where players can grow plants, run their own cafes,and much more. Battles in Monster Forest Online are turn-based.
Players will be able to engage in a variety of quests and embark on their exciting journey together!
The game is currently in the “alpha” stages, with only 250 players having been invited to try the game thus far. The game is imagined to be entering closed beta sometime in April 2010.
