LEGO Pirates of the Carribean coming next year

Avast ye pirates! There’ll be tough seas ahead, and another franchise to boot. Or can we sail the seven sea together like good ship-mates we are?

Well, if the Mouse and Traveller’s Tales (TT) have any say—it’s going to happen.

Disney’s flagship movie trilogy Pirates of the Caribbean, the Video Game is getting the LEGO treatment and will launch just in time with the fourth film, On Stranger Tides, hitting theatres May 2011.

Disney Interactive Studios is handling the release that TT has developed, and while the game won’t include story elements from latest film, the original trilogy will be covered. Just like TT’s other LEGO game products, one can build some interesting loot, engage in multiple character in-game play and play co-operatively through a network.

There will be over 70 characters players can try, and 20 levels to plunder through. All the major platforms like Sony’s PS3, PSP, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, the DS, and the PC will be supported.
