Jett Rocket 2 Announced…Kind of

Have you been playing Jett Rocket?  I see some of you are saying, “Yes.”  And then there are those who are asking, “What’s that?”  Well, Jett Rocket is a WiiWare game that was just released yesterday by developer Shin’en (the folks behind the awesomely addictive Art of Balance).  If you’ve played the full game through, then you probably know what this announcement is about.  But if you haven’t, then I’ll play Mr. Spoiler for ya:

Jett Rocket 2 has been announced!  Well, kind of, anyway.  At the end of the game, during the end credits, the message “To be continued in Jett Rocket 2!” wonderfully graces the screen.  Now I know what you’re thinking: “Why have people already beaten the game?  It’s that short?!”  Well, yes, actually.  After doing a bit of research, I found that the game lasts anywhere between three and five hours.  And while that may not be a long period of time at all—especially for 1,000 Wii Points ($10)—many sites are reporting that the game is a lot of fun.

So we’ll leave this one to your discretion.  I haven’t played the game myself, but I sure am curious about it.  And I happen to have a soft spot in my heart for the short-but-sweet gaming experience, so once some of my hard-earned cash from my freelancing pops up in my bank account, I think I’ll do a little virtual shopping through my Wii.
