God of War III Release Date Unveiled by GameStop

God of War III Release Date Unveiled by GameStop

So when GameStop isn’t inventing clever new ways to screw gamers out of their hard earned drug money they’re revealing release dates for games (and then sometimes selling them before said date).  God of War III has gone without an official release date for awhile now but it seems all the worrying and guessing can come to an end now since GameStop unveiled Kratos’ new bloody excursion on the PS3 will be on March 16th.  We were pretty sure it’d be in March seeing as the last two titles were released in March (and since Japan’s getting the game on the 25th).

This gives us ample time to beat the other recent spectacle fighters (Bayonetta and Darksiders), buy Dante’s Inferno, play it, get sick of it, then trade them all into GameStop as a sort of Thank You to GameStop for letting us know when our beloved Kratos will be jumping back into our open arms (and so the poorest amongst us can actually afford the game).  I like to consider Bayonetta and Darksiders as a bit of a tease, the pre-appetizer if you will, than Dante’s Inferno is the real appetizer, and God of War III as the main course.  That’s weird right?  Well, I like food and I really like video games, so whenever I get the opportunity to fuse the two into some over elaborate and borderline bizarre metaphor, I take that opportunity.

God of War III releases for the PS3 on March 16th (unless GameStop is lying to us).
