Well even a snippet of the original game is worth the purchase right? thats what Ubisoft is banking on.  Assassins Creed II: Discovery for iphone is based off of the original game where players can discover “an” exiting chapter of the hit game released late last year.  For a whopping price of £4.99 (or about $8.00 USD) you can play 1 quest of the assassins creed 2 game, want to play more? Ubisoft will release a series of levels each I presume will be £4.99.

The Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery App lets iPhone and iPod touch users discover an exciting chapter of the Assassin’s Creed II storyline. Players follow Ezio as he travels to 15th-century Spain to rescue fellow assassins being held under the guise of the Inquisition, only to uncover a Templar plot to sail west and discover the New World.

  1. Wow, talk about a cash in. Ubisoft could’ve at least created a new story for Ezio and then release a series of it. But come on! The same game? That’s a low for Ubisoft.

    P.S. – Altair’s Chronicles was fun on the iPhone but had many issues such as hit detection, that stupid jump button that was entirely unnecessary, joystick sensitivity issues, etc. If they’re going to try another go at it to milk this somewhat of a cash cow, hopefully they at least fix these issues.
