Blur Feels Like A Modern Mario-Kart

Blur Feels Like A Modern Mario-Kart

Why hasn’t someone thought of this before? It reminds me of the movie Death Race, with the powerups and such. The Mario Kart concept, updated with real cars and current gen graphics. I fondly remember the times of vanquishing my opponents with green and red shells, or activating the lightning bolt to shrink everyone before taking a giant jump over the creek on the Royal Raceway track was also a common occurrence. Blur may not exactly be a reincarnation of that, but it did take some key elements. Probably most notable would be the powerups and how they are set up on a track. Green shells will be replaced by futuristic lasers, and bananas are replaced by what appears to be huge electricity balls.

Blur had sparked my interest with it’s last trailer, and this new multiplayer beta trailer only helps solidify me giving this title a chance in a racing genre where good games like these are few and far between.
