Exploiting MW2 Glitch Earns Live Suspension

Xbox Lives’s Steven Toulouse has claimed that anyone who takes advantage of Modern Warfare 2’s Javelin glitch will be punished with a temporary ban from Xbox Live.

He Told the Twitterspere:

“While IW works on getting the MW2 glitch fixed, people we catch using it will receive suspensions from Live. Play fair everyone,”

“For those asking, cheating suspensions are usually 24 hours for first offence,” he added later. “But egregious cheating can be 2 weeks!… Using any bug or glitch to gain advantage in a game is expressly against our Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.”

The Javelin glitch basically turns the player into a sort of suicide bomber. By Equipping a rocket launcher in a certain manner and sprinting, the player can kill everyone in their immediate viscinity at the cost of their own life.
