Top 5 Comic Book Games

So I have scanned several top Comic Book Game lists and came up with these as the best ones using my own biase.

5. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Xbox 360, PS3)
This is the game that answered plenty of fanboy questions. Not only did this add to the fighting genera, it did so with some of the most iconic characters in comic book history.

4.Marvel VS Capcom 2 (Xbox Live Arcade)
This is similar to MK VS DC Universe except for the fact that it feels more like a classic arcade fighting game and cost only about $15. Also it includes both Marvel and Street Fighter characters which answers plenty other fanboy questions.

3.Spider Man 2 (PS2, GameCube, PC)
Basically this was one of the earliest free roaming open world games other than GTA which was acceptable for kids and had a lot of depth to its gameplay.

2. Batman Arkham Asylum (Xbox 360, PS3)
Is an open world button mashing/stealth combat game with an epic storyline. There is plenty to do in this rich game and its good price tag makes this game a must have. I might be able to legitimately say even Marvel fanboys will enjoy this game.

1.Marvel Ultimate Alliance (PS2, Xbox, PS3, Xbox 360)
This RPG brings the Marvel Universe Together with dozens of your favourite heros to play as and villains to defeat this is a must have game for comic book connoisseurs. On top of that is tons of extras including alternate costumes. This game does not shy from details.

  1. The list confused me. Marvel VS Capcom is not just on Xbox Live. Spider Man 2 is also, on many more systems including Xbox. No City of Heroes, and not one classic arcade beat em up. What about the darkness? That game wasn’t amazing, but it was original and very well done.

  2. I wouldn’t say Spider-Man 2 was bad, I thought it was a lot better than the original, and it’s pretty much one of the best Spider-Man games I’ve played.

MK vs DC was awesome though, a total crack pair and it worked. XD

  3. dusty d, i mentioned X-Men:Legends because it was the single best comic book based game i’ve ever tried. It’s developed by Revan, for fuck’s sake! So this makes me think, that you’ve never actually played the game. Also – did you include Spider Man 2 because it was good or because your a Spider Man fan? Free roaming.. Laughable. There was nothing – no side missions, which eliminates the whole purpose of free roaming. Spider man 2 was made for 7 year olds. Deal with it.

  4. Hmm, dusty d made a pretty valid point saying that people were bound to have their own opinions.

But still, the title was quite misleading. And also some of the platforms you have wrote under the games aren’t all true..

  5. well honestly this is a preatty biased list but a list that would have had to be made at some point in time. also i OrganizationXIII I didn’t put X Men Legendes up because it is simmilar to Marvel Ultimate Alliance but Marvel Ultimate Alliance advanced on a lot of X Men Legends weak points so if I expanded the list X-Men Legends would be up there. However I feel a top 5 list is good because you can hilight variaty in order to eliminate as much biase as posibble.
